Franco Abdelkader Omeich, President of the "European-Arab Friendship Association," sent a congratulatory letter to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on his election victory, urging him to "strengthen global peace efforts, particularly in the Middle East."
Omeich called on President Trump to "work toward stopping the war waged by Israel on Lebanon, which has caused widespread destruction of infrastructure, villages, and cities."
He also urged the United States not to overlook the cycle of violence, as previous President Joe Biden did by allowing Benjamin Netanyahu to wage an aggressive war on Lebanon.
Omeich emphasized "the need for the United States to play a larger role in enforcing peace to safeguard global security and stability during Trump's presidency."
He wished him success in his term for the benefit of the United States and the entire world.
